What a bin takes, grouped by how loads actually arrive
Household: furniture, mattresses, carpet, textiles, toys, kitchenware, books, decor and the contents of every cupboard. Renovation: drywall, lumber, flooring, cabinets, doors, trim, insulation, plaster and lath, ceiling tile.
Yard: branches, leaves, grass, hedging, shrubs, sod and soil. Roofing: shingles, underlay, ice and water shield, flashing and rotten decking. Appliances: stoves, ovens, washers, dryers, small appliances and grills once the propane tank is removed.
Heavy fill is the sixth and the one with a rule attached. Concrete, brick, block, asphalt, stone and dirt are all accepted, but in a small bin on their own rather than mixed through a general load. Heavy debris rules explains why, and prohibited items covers the short list of refusals.

Heavy across the floor
Spread, not stacked in a corner, so the bin can be lifted evenly.
Break down the bulk
Furniture and cabinets take a third of the space once collapsed.
Fill in its own bin
Concrete, brick and soil separate, at the inert rate.

Nothing above it, or the load cannot be tarped and cannot be driven.
Appliance Rules
Which appliances can go in a bin and which cannot
Stoves, ovens, ranges, washers, dryers without digital panels, toasters, blenders, coffee makers, fans, vacuums and space heaters all go in a general bin without any preparation.
Grills go in once the propane tank has been taken off, because the tank is the problem, not the grill. Hot water tanks are the exception among large appliances: a sealed vessel can hold gas and is refused outright.
Anything with refrigerant, a fridge, freezer, air conditioner or dehumidifier, has to be drained and tagged by a certified technician before it can be loaded. Untagged, it comes back off the truck.
