Reno Debris Bins
Windsor renovation debris dumpster rental, weighed not guessed
Drywall, flooring, tile, cabinets, framing and plaster from a room or a whole floor, in a bin sized for what renovation debris actually weighs.
- 10 yd per bathroom
- 20 yd per kitchen
- $120 a tonne over
Why Reno Is Heavy
Renovation debris fills a bin slowly and loads it fast
A room stripped to the studs does not look like much in a bin, and then the scale ticket says otherwise. Old plaster and lath, ceramic tile, mortar bed and cabinet carcasses are dense, and a bathroom can put half a tonne into a bin that still looks empty.
That is why a bathroom gets a 10 yard rather than a bigger bin. The volume is small and the weight is not, so a large bin would only tempt you to fill the rest of it with something that pushes the load past its allowance.
A kitchen or a whole floor is the opposite: cabinets and framing are bulky and light, so a 20 yard is right. Old tile beds sit closer to heavy debris than to household waste, and weight limits shows what each size carries before the overage starts.
How It Runs
Four steps around a live renovation
-
Tell us the rooms
Which rooms, and whether old tile or plaster is coming out.
-
Placed for the door
Close enough to carry to, far enough that the trades can still work.
-
Load heavy first
Tile and plaster across the floor of the bin, timber and cabinets on top.
-
Swap or collect
A second bin same day if the job runs bigger than the first one.
Mixed Loads
Keep the tile bed out of the renovation bin
Most renovation waste travels together without any trouble: drywall, timber, carpet, underlay, cabinets, doors, trim, insulation and packaging all go in the same bin and all go to the same facility.
Concrete, brick, mortar bed and the sand under an old tile floor do not. They are inert material and they go to a different site at a different rate, so a load with them mixed through it gets charged as general waste rather than as fill.
On a small job that difference is a few dollars. On a floor of old ceramic it is not. If there is a real volume of it, take a separate small bin, which concrete and clean fill covers, and keep the general renovation load clean.

Windsor renovation debris questions
Told me to put the old tile in a separate small bin. Saved more than the second bin cost.
Ten yard looked too small until they explained the weight. It came out just under.
Swapped the bin the same morning I called. The trades never stopped working.
Good service. The bin sat a little closer to the garage than I wanted but it did not block anything.
