A unit in a strip or a mall shares its loading bay, and the bay is busy at exactly the hours the shop is. So the first question is not what size, it is what hours the truck can be there, and everything else is arranged around that answer.
Most retail work happens before opening. Office fit-outs are usually the reverse, after close or at a weekend, because a corridor full of old workstations cannot be there during the working day.
Fit-out strip-out debris, ceiling tile, partitions, carpet, workstations and shelving, is bulky and light, so the bin fills before the tonnage does. Heavier retail work with tile or masonry in it belongs closer to demolition debris, and property management covers recurring service.

What a retail strip-out bin takes, and what it does not
Shelving, counters, display units, ceiling tile, partition studwork, carpet and underlay, signage and packaging all go in the general bin. So do the old workstations and cabinets from an office clear.
Electronics do not. Monitors, computers, printers and networking gear are refused and go to an e-waste depot, which on an office clear can be a substantial separate job worth booking at the same time.
Fluorescent tubes from a ceiling grid are the other one, refused because they contain mercury. Both are on the prohibited items list, and what we take covers everything that is fine. Commercial bins covers the rest.
